I Have to Surrender

The struggle we feel living saved is real; but even the struggle is proof that God is working on us - because you can’t even fight to live right without God giving you the strength to do it. God allows the struggle so we learn to yield, to trust, and to depend on His power and not our own.

The story of the rich young ruler in Matthew 19:16–30 shows us that salvation is bigger than just keeping rules - it’s about full surrender to Jesus Christ. And though it’s a struggle, “with God everything is possible!”

Every breath, every blink, and every heartbeat is God reminding us that in Him we live, and move, and have our being. He is worthy of all we have - and the Lord promised that “everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for my sake, will receive a hundred times as much in return and will inherit eternal life.”

Wave the white flag! “Lord, I surrender!”
